✓PTT Tips:

This is a wonderful art project idea for fine motor and visual perceptual skills development! I love that the stickers are foam for increased ease with peeling, but still a good challenge for fine motor skills. There are different kits to accomodate a variety of ages and skill levels. I would recommend to start with a kit in which you match the color on the picture to the colored sticker- which works on problem solving and visual perceptual skills (like the vehicle pic above.) If your child is not ready for this, you can grade this project down and make it easier and have your child create their own design while still trying to stay within the shape boundaries provided on the pictures, also good for visual motor and visual perceptual skills! Then work up to a kit with numbers- a corresponding key is provided on the box to match the foam pieces to, such a great visual perceptual and problem solving challenge! One tip would be to not do this all at one time, as it can be challenging, and leave it out as a project to work on in pieces. My daughter and her friends have completed a few of these crafts and we now have them on display in her room and is so proud of her hard work! You can also have your child complete this when laying on his/her tummy for some added proximal strengthening work! There are a few different types of these mosaic pictures, so you can choose one that matches your child’s interests and skill level. This would be a fun summer activity!
